Dorland’s Medical Dictionary for Health Care Consumers has been added to TheFreeDictionary.com, one of many online language resources used by writers and translators. Dorland’s contains about 40,000 entries and over 350 illustrations and provides authoritative, concise definitions for a wide range of terms used in the health sciences, including anatomy, physiology, diseases, drugs, tests and procedures.
Along with its medical dictionary, TheFreeDictionary.com offers a wealth of other free and valuable research tools including a legal dictionary and a computing dictionary. “This new content will prove invaluable to both professionals and the general public interested in accessing the clearest, most comprehensive definitions of medical terminology,” explains Steve Boymel, co-founder and executive vice president of online reference provider Farlex, Inc.
