For example, a well-constructed site called Medical Spanish presents podcasts and other tools for those studying Spanish in medical settings, or for employees who use the language in their jobs.
Founded about a year ago, Medical Spanish presents podcasts which appeal to all types of health care professionals. The grammar exercises deal with more general language, and are designed for intermediate to advanced learners.
The site was created by Molly Martin, MD. She is a practicing doctor in internal medicine and speaks Spanish. Spanish teacher Maria Bjorklund, originally from Peru, helps with the grammar podcasts, and proofreads all of the podcast transcripts.
Presented in blog format, the site presents regular podcasts covering all aspects of medical language, from back pain to workers’ compensation. It also offers a forum, quizzes and grammar review posts.
